Transformer Commissioning
In certain regions, such as southern Africa, we take over the entire process of commissioning transformers.
This includes such steps as:
- installing the transformer
- reinstalling parts that were removed for transportation
- processing the oil and filling the insulating oil
- accepting the transformer, including reading out the impact recorder
- testing the transformer
For testing transformers of every power class, we have the necessary equipment from renowned metrology device manufacturers. By the way, we offer measurements for transformers not only during commissioning, but also during maintenance or inspections.
The following measurements are part of our standard services:
- measurement of the winding resistance
- measurement of the insulation resistance or ground measurement
- transformer ratio test (measure of the polarity)
- short-circuit impedance measurement
- measurement of the dielectric loss factor (tan Delta)
Of course, all test results are documented correspondingly. We also offer a combination of the measurements on the transformer with a dynamic resistance measurement on the on-load tap-changer.
Of course, for commissioning the transformer, we install the complete range of accessories, such as (maintenance-free) dehydrating breathers, voltage regulators or monitoring systems.
